2003 40 Riviera Convertible “Reel Hula”
“Reel Hula” had been a well-kept boat her whole life. Her current owners have excellent service history with all the records to prove it. Her gel coat is in well above average shape and she is very clean inside an out. Her engine room is a pleasure to show and the rest of the boat will impress as well.
Considering the conservative styling of previous Riviera models, the sweeping lines of the Riviera 40 suggest that this is an early example of a new more contemporary look for Riviera’s series of popular Australian-built convertibles. Like her sister ships in the Riviera line, the 40 is built on a beamy solid fiberglass hull with a well-flared bow and a short, shallow keel. Her two-stateroom interior is spacious for a 40-footer, and the varnished joiner work and quality fabrics add a touch of luxury to an otherwise unpretentious décor. A lower helm is optional, and there are three single berths in the guest stateroom. The door in the cockpit provides access to the engine room, and a pair of in deck fish boxes, a transom door, live well (with window) and molded tackle centers are standard. On the flybridge, an L-shaped settee forward of the helm will seat 6 adults. Additional features include a bow pulpit and wide side decks.
